$27,995   This is a rare 1939 Plymouth Business Coupe. This car is in great condition and has been mildly "resto-rodded" and updated for modern use. This car has its original flat-head straight-six engine, with rare Offenhauser aluminum dual-carb intake manifold and dual Phillips Performance carburetors. Inside, the car has a new beige cloth interior for the split, folding bench seat. The woodgrain dashboard contains the original gauges which have been converted to 12 volt. A tachometer has been added to the steering column, and a Kenwood stereo system has been mounted under the dashboard. There is a locking pass-through behind the passenger side of the seat for the absolutely cavernous trunk. Under the hood is the original flat-head straight six engine. The engine displaces 201.3 cubic inches (3.3 liters) and has a cast iron block and aluminum head. To this is attached some rare and period-correct accessories, namely a cast aluminum Offenhauser (of Indy 500 fame) dual-carb intake manifold and dual Philips Performance carburetors with matching dual Philips air cleaners. Exhaust duties are handled by a set of Philips headers mated to dual exhausts with chromed megaphone tips, giving the car an nice mellow rumble.
